Singing in the Philippines
Friday, April 12th, 2013
This Easter, I went on an adventure to the Philippines. It was my first time in Asia, my first time on a 14 hour flight and my first time singing for 5,000+ people and what a fantastic time I had!! The people were wonderful, the food delicious and I’ve realized just how much I want to travel the world and do it singing! It’s a blessing to get to make music and I’m definitely enjoying the ride so far. The next stop is Paris in May. More coming up in my new blog Soul Diva Adventures later!

***Colorado Concert & Benefit for Denver Dumb Friends League and Rock & Rawhide*** SUNDAY, MARCH 24 – 7:30PM Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret You know a dog is full of unconditional love for you when he lets you pose him in uncomfortable positions on the stairs. Here I am at 11 with my wonderful dog Springer, whom my family adopted from the Denver Dumb Friends League. He brought so much joy to my childhood and I’ve been a dog lover and supporter of the DDFL ever since! So, I’m overjoyed to announce that I’ve partnered with the fantastic charity Rock & Rawhide to collect donations for the DDFL at my concert on March 24th! Rock & Rawhide aims to increase adoptions and quality of life for dogs and cats in shelters by providing distraction therapy and noise/stress reduction through the donations of toys, tough chew items, Kongs, Nylabones, bones, rawhides, blankets and more. Founded in 1910, the DDFL is a national leader in providing humane care to lost and abandoned animals, rescuing sick, injured and abused animals, and adopting pets to new homes. If you are in the Denver area, you can bring these items to the show. (Bedding should be clean and treats should be in unopened packages):
Markeisha – Live @ Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret It will be a great time again at Lannie’s following last fall’s SOLD OUT show – lots of mountains, wine and good music! I hope to see you there and let’s please help out all of the Springers at the DDFL! If you’re not in Denver and would like to donate, please visit the R & R webiste :-) |
